The Rutland Night 10K brings an atmospheric evening of running to the south shore of Rutland Water, with races held on Friday and Saturday night. Normanton Church is illuminated as a landmark throughout the event, creating a distinctive setting beside the water after dark.
Runners follow a flat 10K course from Normanton along the south shore, across the length of the dam and towards Whitwell Creek. The route turns at 5K before retracing the course to the finish, with the majority following well maintained tarmac paths. The traffic free route is illuminated throughout and chip timing records each runner's performance.
Finishers receive a medal and glow wristband, with podium trophies also awarded. The illuminated course, waterside setting and views towards Normanton Church create a memorable night running experience at one of Rutland Water's most recognisable locations.
