Running Made Easy with Colin Thomas
UKA Running coach Colin Thomas has launched an online running improvement course
Glasgow-based coach Colin Thomas, a regular visitor to Kenya where he works with groups of promising athletes, has launched a new online initiative called "Running Made Easy".
runABC Scotland reported in April on the virtual sessions that Colin had staged for one of the club's he works with – West End Road Runners: Colin is also head coach at Bellahouston Harriers. Those sessions proved popular and prompted Colin to create a 'Running Made Easy' course on Udemy, the global online learning and teaching platform.
Colin is a lead physiologist in the UK, a Sports Scientist and UKA Running coach and he works with athletes from beginner to elite, all over the world. He told runABC online: "Running Made Easy is aimed at anyone who wants to improve their knowledge about running.
"The course covers a wide range of subjects and uses a combination of short lectures and videos, examples of exercises and running drills, all designed to make running easier for you. The course lectures and videos should take you around two hours to listen to and watch, and with practice will make you a better runner tomorrow than you are today."
The course content covers:
- Why We Should Run
- Equipment & Footwear
- Running Technique
- Planning Your Session
- Writing Your Own Running Programme
- Strength & Conditioning
- Motivation & Overcoming Barriers
One happy Running Made Easy graduate said: "Excellent course with really helpful resources that are easy to follow and the techniques have really worked! This was recommended to me by another running professional and has helped me get back into running! Thank you for your expert knowledge! I would highly recommended to anyone interested in beginning/getting back to or improving their running."
You can sign up for Running Made Easy at the Udemy website.
The course is priced at £39.99 but as a runABC visitor you can purchase it for the discounted price of £13.99 by using this special runABC link.
