The Redcar Running Festival is organised by New Marske Harriers AC and takes place on the seafront roads of Redcar in North Yorkshire. The programme includes the Redcar Half Marathon, Zetland 10K, a 3K Young Athletes Race and an inclusive 3K Fun Run, creating a full morning of road racing for experienced athletes, junior runners, families and community participants.
All races are held on traffic free tarmac roads, with the Half Marathon, 10K and 3K following certified courses measured by the Association of UK Course Measurers. The flat coastal setting provides fast running conditions, while the different distances allow participants to choose a challenge that matches their age and experience.
Professional chip timing, closed roads, marshals and online results help deliver a well organised event. Half Marathon and 10K finishers receive a medal and technical T shirt, while every 3K finisher receives a medal, adding to the welcoming festival atmosphere.
