The River Thames Half Marathon starts and finishes beside Walton Bridge in Walton on Thames, following a scenic 13.1 mile route alongside the River Thames towards Hampton Court Bridge. The largely traffic free course combines riverside surroundings with sections through Walton on Thames and the surrounding area.
Runners follow a flat multi terrain course across roads, paved paths, gravel, grass and the Thames Towpath. The route is clearly marked, measured and fully marshalled, with minimal elevation making it well suited to runners targeting a fast time as well as those taking on their first Half Marathon.
Water stations are positioned at several points around the course, with professional first aid cover, sweep marshals and pacers supporting runners. Finishers receive a medal, technical T-shirt and goody bag, with free race photography also included.
