The Retford Half Marathon returns, organised by Retford Athletic Club and renowned for its friendly atmosphere, smooth organisation, and fast, scenic course. Starting and finishing at Oaklands, the route takes runners through attractive Nottinghamshire countryside and local villages on quiet roads, perfect for both experienced runners chasing a PB and those using it as a spring marathon warm up.
All finishers receive a high-quality medal, chip timing, and enjoy fantastic local support throughout, with a welcoming and inclusive feel for runners of all abilities. A Family Fun Run starts at 10:15am, featuring a two-lap course on site that’s ideal for children and families wanting to join in the fun. There’s free parking, toilets, refreshments, and a vibrant event village, making it a great day out for runners and spectators alike.
