The Rainford 10K is a mixed terrain race starting and finishing at Rainford High School in the heart of the village. The course explores Rainford on a mixture of roads, footpaths and trails, creating a varied route that combines village running with greener sections away from the surrounding streets.
Runners head towards the industrial estate before following footpaths towards Rookery Lane and continuing along the Linear Park and trails towards Rainford Junction. The return takes the race through News Lane, Reeds Brow and Ivy Lane before a final footpath leads back towards the school grounds and the finish.
The Rainford 10K provides a varied Merseyside running challenge with a combination of road and off road terrain throughout its scenic village course. The Linear Park trails form a distinctive part of the route, while the school based start and finish create a lively event hub. A separate Fun Run within the grounds of Rainford High School gives younger runners and families an opportunity to take part.
