Discover the beauty of Cornwall's rugged coastline at the Rame Head Race, a spectacular trail running event set on the stunning Mount Edgcumbe Peninsula near Plymouth. Organised by Sportiva Events, the event offers marathon, half marathon and 10K distances, alongside canicross and junior races, welcoming runners of different abilities to enjoy a memorable coastal challenge.

The scenic routes follow a challenging 10.6K circuit around the peninsula, predominantly using coastal paths with breathtaking views across Plymouth Sound and the surrounding countryside. The 10K follows one lap, half marathon runners complete two circuits and marathon participants tackle four. With a mixture of demanding climbs, exhilarating descents and flatter, faster sections, the varied terrain provides a rewarding test of strength and endurance.

With its spectacular coastal scenery, friendly atmosphere and choice of distances, the Rame Head Race offers an exciting alternative to traditional road racing. Canicross categories allow runners to share the adventure with their dogs, while dedicated junior races give younger participants the opportunity to join the fun.
