Ramathon Returns Once More

Derby’s iconic half marathon and 5 miler returns this summer...

The countdown is on for one of Derby’s most loved running events, as the Derbion Ramathon is all set to return on Sunday, 29 June with thousands of runners once again looking forward to taking on the challenge through the heart of the city and beyond.

Organised by Run For All, the Ramathon has grown into a must-do event for runners of all abilities, raising significant funds for charities along the way. The fast and flat course starts and finishes at Silk Mill Park, close to Derby Cathedral, taking participants through key city landmarks including Pride Park Stadium, Alvaston Park, and the scenic trails of Elvaston Castle Country Park. The route offers a fantastic blend of urban streets and beautiful countryside, with plenty of crowd support to keep runners motivated.

For those looking for a shorter distance, the RAM 5 Mile event provides an opportunity to experience the excitement of race day with a slightly less demanding challenge. Sharing the same start and finish line as the half marathon, runners will enjoy a city-centre route, passing iconic locations before heading towards Pride Park Stadium and back to Silk Mill Park.

The bustling Event Village on Market Place will be a hub of activity throughout the day, offering a range of food and drink options plus local cafés and bars welcoming both runners and spectators.

With a finisher’s medal, bespoke t-shirt, and goody bag packed with post-race treats, participants can look forward to well-earned rewards after crossing the finish line. Whether you’re chasing a personal best, running for charity, or simply looking for a new challenge, the Ramathon promises an unforgettable race-day atmosphere.
