Race Across Scotland is organised by GB Ultras and follows the full length of Scotland's Southern Upland Way from Portpatrick on the west coast to Cockburnspath on the east coast. Covering approximately 215 miles, the continuous point to point ultramarathon challenges runners to complete one of the United Kingdom's longest and most demanding trail races.

The route traverses the Southern Uplands through forests, rolling hills, open moorland and remote countryside, with significant elevation gain and constantly changing terrain. Runners experience a wide variety of landscapes while crossing Scotland from coast to coast, tackling a course that demands endurance, resilience and strong race management throughout.

The event is fully supported with checkpoints, medical assistance, tracking and experienced event management, allowing competitors to focus on the challenge while remaining self sufficient between support locations. The race attracts experienced ultrarunners from across the UK and beyond who are looking to test themselves over an iconic long distance trail route.
