The XMiles Preston Half Marathon & 10K is organised by Epic Events and starts and finishes in the historic surroundings of Winckley Square in Preston city centre. The fully closed road routes take runners through Fishergate, Avenham and Miller Parks, alongside the River Ribble and across Walton Bridge before returning via the Old Tram Road, Nature Reserve and Penwortham Old Bridge.
The 10K follows one lap of the course, while the half marathon completes an extended two lap route, showcasing many of Preston's best known landmarks and green spaces. Both races are UK Athletics licensed with officially measured and certified courses, electronic chip timing, well stocked feed stations and excellent on course support.
Every finisher receives a custom designed medal, complimentary event photographs and refreshments at the finish. Combining city streets, riverside paths, historic parks and a vibrant event atmosphere, the XMiles Preston Half Marathon & 10K provides a memorable road running experience for runners of all abilities.
