The start is on the beach immediately below the registration. You will head east along the beach, turn at a marker at the pumping station at the Joppa end, run back along the whole length of the beach to turn round a marker below the Cat and Dog Home with the finish line back where you started. The race is timed to coincide with near low-tide. You will have to either climb over the groynes or be prepared to run round the seaward end - you may get your feet wet.
