The Pooley Bridge Trail Runs are organised by Wild Deer Events and offer 10K and Half Marathon trail races from Pooley Bridge at the northern tip of Ullswater in the Lake District National Park. The routes combine scenic Lakeland trails with rewarding climbs, mountain views and varied off road terrain in one of England's most spectacular running locations.
Both courses showcase the outstanding landscapes surrounding Ullswater, following a mixture of woodland trails, fell paths and lakeside tracks with panoramic views across the fells. The challenging but accessible routes provide an enjoyable experience for both experienced trail runners and those looking to explore the Lake District on foot.
With live chip timing, finisher's medals, optional event merchandise and a welcoming atmosphere, the Pooley Bridge Trail Runs have become a popular early summer fixture. The event is also canicross friendly, allowing runners to share the trails with one well controlled dog.
