Lupus is an incurable autoimmune disease similar to arthritis, where a persons immune system begins attacking their own cells, tissues and as if they were foreign material.
It can affect any part of the body including hair, skin and eyes and blood, brain, heart and other major organs and systems.
This causes many symptoms, damage and complications that can cause the person with the disease to be extremely unwell and in some cases, even lead to death!
All finishers will receive a medal and goodie bags.
