The Pendle Witches 10K is a fast and flat road race based at the Lancaster & Morecambe AC Clubhouse at Salt Ayre. The route heads through the Lunesdale countryside, providing an accessible 10K for newcomers while still giving more experienced runners plenty of opportunity to push the pace.
Runners can expect a flat course suited to maintaining a quick, consistent rhythm and targeting a 10K PB. The countryside setting adds interest to the route, while the friendly atmosphere makes the race equally suitable for runners stepping up to the distance. All 10K finishers receive a medal, with prizes for the leading male and female runners.
A Halloween themed 1 mile fun run forms part of the event, bringing a more relaxed and family friendly element to the day. Fancy dress is encouraged, adults and children can take part, and younger children can run alongside an adult. The fun run is untimed, with a witch themed medal for every entrant who finishes.
