The Oxford Half is a closed road Half Marathon organised by Motiv Sports UK through the historic streets of Oxford.
The fast, flat course showcases the city centre and its university surroundings, combining long runnable sections with some of Oxford's best known landmarks. Runners pass through areas including Summertown and Old Marston, cross the River Cherwell and run alongside Oxford University Parks before returning into the historic centre. The closing section takes in Holywell Street, Catte Street and Radcliffe Square, passing the Radcliffe Camera before the finish.
Runners start in waves according to predicted finish time and receive an individual chip time. Aid stations are positioned around the route, while entertainment and enthusiastic spectator support contribute to the atmosphere. The combination of a fast course, closed roads and distinctive Oxford architecture has made the Oxford Half one of the UK's prominent autumn city Half Marathons.
