Start the new year on the right foot with the Oundle New Year 10K & 5K, a popular early-season race set in the picturesque Northamptonshire countryside. Organised by Nice Work, the event welcomes runners of all abilities, from experienced club athletes looking to test their fitness to beginners keen to get their running resolutions off to a flying start.

The accurately measured courses take runners along wide, quiet country lanes surrounding the historic market town of Oundle. The 5K follows a single lap, while 10K participants complete the route twice. With a gently undulating profile and tarmac throughout, runners can enjoy attractive rural scenery and the crisp winter air as they tackle the first racing challenge of the year.

A friendly atmosphere and supportive running community make this an enjoyable event for newcomers and seasoned runners alike. Every finisher receives a bespoke medal and free race photographs, while trophies and prizes are awarded to leading runners. Combining scenic countryside, a welcoming atmosphere and a rewarding challenge, the Oundle New Year 10K & 5K is a great way to launch the 2027 racing calendar.
