One Month To Go!
The countdown is on for this year's Great North 10K...
There is only one month to go until the AJ Bell Great North 10K! The event is a favourite amongst runners in the North East and this year it’s back bigger and better than ever with an exciting new route passing some of Newcastle’s most iconic sights.
Starting on the famous AJ Bell Great North Run start line, runners will follow the first 3km of the GNR course and pass across the iconic Tyne Bridge twice, before weaving through Newcastle city centre.
Runners will take in plenty of famous landmarks on route including The Sage, Grey’s Monument, Eldon Square, Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle Civic Centre, Haymarket; and Great North Museum. A grandstand finish awaits on the town moor, along with post event celebrations in the Apres Run zone.
This is a route for all ages and abilities, whether it’s your first 10K or 50th, the Geordie supporters and lively carnival atmosphere will keep you going until you cross that finish line. From the start line DJ, to the on-course music zones...
And for those of you who love the bling, this year's medal is a cracker - inspired by the exciting new route it features the iconic Tyne Bridge on both sides as participants will cross it twice!
