The popular Northants 5K Series returns in 2026 for its 14th year, bringing five multi-terrain races to some of Northamptonshire’s most scenic parks and woodlands. All races are multi-terrain and showcase some of the county’s most beautiful running locations.

Known for its friendly and welcoming atmosphere, the series is designed to be inclusive and enjoyable for runners of all abilities. Whether it is your first 5K or you are a regular on the local race circuit, each event offers a supportive environment and well-organised routes. Every finisher will receive a bespoke Northants 5K medal, with a different design available at each race.

The 2026 series will introduce an exciting new venue, with the opening race taking place at Fineshade Wood on 26 April. The remaining events include West Lodge Farm on 13 May, Blackpit Brewery near Silverstone on 17 June, Fermyn Woods on 8 July and the series finale at Delapre Abbey on 20 September.

Runners can enter individual races or secure a place in the Whole Race Series. The Northants 5K Whole Race Series Golden Ticket includes entry to all five races along with a free Northants 5K T-shirt. For those unable to attend one of the events in person, a virtual option is available, allowing runners to complete the distance remotely and still receive the corresponding medal by post to complete the full set.
