Normanby Hall Adventure Race

Adventure In North Lincs

Adventure, running and a whole lot of fun is guaranteed at this ever-popular Scunthorpe event...

The Samaritans Normanby Hall Adventure Race will return to Scunthorpe's famed stately home on 6 April 2025. A 10K(ish) obstacle race, runners will take on a horse cross country course which has much to offer those who want to embrace their inner pony with water, mud, sand, crawl nets and jumps. There are lots and lots of jumps in fact, as well as hills and a swamp!

Runners won't be rewarded with a sugar cube or an apple, or even a rosette but they will recieve a cake and a medal and can choose whether they want to add a funky event t-shirt or hoodie.

Speaking about their charity partner, a spokesperson said: "The Scunthorpe Samaritans team joined us and supported the event in 2024 and we're so happy that they are joining us in 2025! We're here to help spread awareness about the incredible work they do."

A spokesperson from Scunthorpe Samaritans added: "These are tough times right now and more people may find themselves struggling to cope. We are proud to be partnering again with Curlys Athletes for the Normanby Hall Adventure Race. It is fantastic fun and a great way to help look after your own mental health while helping ensure Samaritans volunteers are there for those in need of our support."

There are lots of ways to take part with an Open Wave which is perfect for solo runners, pairs or those looking to 'race' the event. This allows you to test yourself, provides a clearer 'less messy' course. The Team Wave is ideal for those pairs and groups out for fun.

You can also opt to do it twice! Set off with both the Open Wave and Team Wave to achieve this - organisers recommend you can complete a normal 10K in around 90 minutes in order to sign up for this challenge.
