Running For Rab

New Puddin’ Race set for Burns Night 2026...

A brand-new running event is coming to Perthshire in 2026, with the inaugural Simon Howie Puddin’ Race promising a fun and festive start to the year. Scheduled for 25 January, the 5K multi-terrain course takes runners along private farm tracks, past the Simon Howie factory and through the village of Dunning before finishing back at the farm.

The champion of the event will be crowned The Great Chieftain o’ The Puddin’ Race, taking home a trophy and a winner’s t-shirt. Families are also encouraged to get involved, with a free 1K kids’ fun run for ages 12 and under. Young runners will receive stickers and goodies at the finish while cheering on the adults.

This unique celebration of Burns Night combines running, food and fun in a picturesque rural setting, making it a must-do event for runners and families. It goes without saying that every finisher is guaranteed a haggis, medal and memorable day out.
