New Event For Notts Park

Clumber Park will play host to a new running event in 2025...

Race organisers, Rasselbock Running have just announced a new springtime event (and new venue) for next year. The Clumber Riverside will take place on 30 March and will see runners take part in a six hour challenge over a 6.7K (TBC) route.

Speaking about the new event, a spokesperson said: "Our long-awaited new venue is finally here, welcome to the roster, Clumber Park! Clumber is the most popular National Trust site in the country and for good reason with nearly 4,000 acres and over 300 years of history, there's plenty to see and do.

"We've picked out a stunning route that will take you right around the Clumber lake (so no shortcuts!). It's still a slight work in progress, but our preliminary route is just over 6K and takes you right through the heart of the park, you'll see the walled kitchens, old stables and head along the south side of the lake with views of the church.

Clumber Park is located four miles south east of Worksop. The route will be around one third on tarmac paths and the rest on trails.

On the day there will be a selection of public toilets along the route and there are ample coffee shops dotted around the lake. All those taking part can expect a fully unique and bespoke medal design just for this event and all the food, drink, and nibbles that you could imagine at the aid station!

Speaking about their general ethos, Rasselbock say: "The aim of our events is to organise races as if we were taking part, so you can expect amazing support, the best medals and goodies, and a small group of runners that is never any more than 200. Think of it as a small group of friends and family all coming together for an amazing day of running!"
