The Naseby 1645 is a distinctive 16.45 mile road race set in the Northamptonshire countryside, starting and finishing at Naseby Village Hall.
The route follows quiet rural roads, passing seven memorials and viewpoints linked to the historic Battle of Naseby. The course is fully on road and features an undulating profile, providing a challenging but rewarding run through open countryside.
Held at a key point in the running calendar, the event is popular with runners building distance ahead of spring marathons. The unique distance reflects the year of the battle and adds to the character of the race, making it a firm favourite that sells out each year.
Road closures are in place along much of the route, creating a safe running environment, with marshals and support throughout. Runners are expected to be confident over the distance, with a four hour cut off in place.
A well established and challenging event that combines history, distance and a scenic countryside setting.
