Nairn Half Marathon

The Nairn Highland Games Half Marathon is organised by Nairn Road Runners and forms one of the signature events of the Nairn Highland Games. Starting and finishing within the Games arena at The Links, the race combines the atmosphere of a traditional Highland Games with a scenic Half Marathon along the Moray Firth coastline.

The approximately Half Marathon route follows a predominantly fast and flat course, passing the beach, harbour and open countryside before returning to the Games arena, where runners finish to the sound of the massed pipes and drums. As the start and finish within the arena vary each year, the course cannot be officially measured, but it remains a popular challenge in the Scottish summer running calendar.

With four water stations, Scottish Athletics permit status and the unique experience of finishing within the Highland Games arena, the Nairn Highland Games Half Marathon offers a memorable blend of competitive running, coastal scenery and Highland tradition.
