Will you become a Mud Master?

It's a fun-filled, mud-tastic family adventure!

For those who like to plan ahead, we bring news of a brand new event on the Somerset coast at Puxton Park, near Weston-super-Mare on Sunday 3rd April 2022. Mud Master is described as an extreme mud and obstacle course race (OCR) with over 20 challenging obstacles to combat and overcome!

Enter now to take advantage of early-bird rates and consider upgrading your laundry system in advance! There are savings of up to £15 available and three different events for all fitness levels. The 5K Challenge is a good introduction to OCR with tyres, tunnels, and mountains to conquer – and of course, there will be copious amounts of the obligatory mud.

For the more experienced competitors, there is a choice between the 10K Endurance and 20K Ultimate Challenge with upgraded obstacles that will test your balance, agility, strength, and stamina to the limit. As the Mud Master website says: "Prepare yourself for Mud, Sweat, and Tears". Finishers in the 20K Ultimate Challenge will have earned the fully deserved title of 'Mud Master'.

Mud Master is organised by the Lions Club of Weston-super-Mare and every penny raised will go to local and national good causes. The lead charities for this inaugural event are Great Western Air Ambulance and Children's Hospice South West – both of whom are actively supporting the event.

Individual entries can be made now and Race Director Nigel Cormack has told runABC South that group and team entries are also encouraged, as he explains: "The event is aimed at individuals and teams. However, we are offering some great discounts for team entries and in the first instance they should contact us by using the contacts page on our website".

Puxton Park is easy to access, approximately half a mile from Junction 21 on the M5. Puxton Park is an all-weather adventure park for children, complete with soft play, aerial climbing and slides, situated in 40 acres of glorious Somerset countryside. Facilities include a Farm Shop and the Meadows Restaurant

So for a fun-filled, mud-tastic adventure for the whole family head for Mud Master next April.
