The Monsal Trail Half Marathon and 10K Weekend takes place in Bakewell, offering two days of running on one of the Peak District’s most popular trails.
Both distances start at Bakewell Station and follow the Monsal Trail, a former railway line that provides a traffic free route through tunnels and across the famous viaduct. The course is multi terrain with a mix of tarmac and hard packed trail, making it accessible and runnable throughout.
The Half Marathon follows an out and back route to Millers Dale, while the 10K turns earlier along the same course. The setting offers wide open views across the Derbyshire Dales, combined with the unique experience of running through long railway tunnels.
With races on both Saturday and Sunday, runners can choose to take part on one day or both, creating a flexible and social weekend of running.
