Monklands Half Marathon & 10K
The popular Monklands Half Marathon returns with the the addition of a brand new 10K road race.

The start / finish is located within St Ambrose High School area. Our designated charity this year will be Hope for Autism who are based in Airdrie in North Lanarkshire. If you can spare anything then it would be most welcomed.
From the start the runners will proceed along the road until reaching Townhead Road. Contining on Townhead Road past the golf course and then turn left onto Gartcosh Road and into Drumpelleir Country Park (water station at this point). Continue through the park until reaching Blair Road. At this point turn right and continue on Blair Road until Glasgow Road. Turn right and head along this road until reaching the crossing at Drumpellier Lawns estate. The route continues along Glasgow Road directed by stewards and continues until the turning at Cuilhill Road.
Continue up Cuilhill Road and onto Gartcosh Road before turning right into Drumpellier Country Park. Cross over to the left as directed by stewards (water station at this point) and continue through the park until reaching Blair Road.
At Blair Road complete the same loop as previous via Glasgow Road, Cuilhill Road, Gartcosh Road and then Drumpellier Country Park back to Blair Road.
After the second loop at this stage turn left onto Blair Road and proceed until Townhead Road. Turn left and proceed along this road until the left turn into the park. Turn left and head as directed to the finish line.
