Run The Duo In Middlesborough

Could you do the double in Middlesborough this summer?

Runners in Middlesbrough can once again take on a two-part challenge this summer with the return of the Boro Duo Season Ticket, offering discounted entry into two of the town’s best-loved events: the Ali Brownlee 5K and the Thirteen Middlesbrough 10K.

To make this double race challenge possible the races have staggered start times. Both the 5K and 10K will take place on 1 June with the day kicking off at 9am with the Thirteen Middlesbrough 10K with the Ali Brownlee 5K following at 10.15am.

The 10K race is a major highlight in the North East running season. Formerly known as the Tees Pride 10K, this well-supported road race has been taken on by Run For All and continues to go from strength to strength. With its flat course, fast potential times and thousands of runners expected, the 10K delivers both competitive opportunity and community celebration in equal measure.

The 5K is a heartfelt tribute to the beloved radio broadcaster and the 'Voice of the Boro'. Brownlee’s passionate coverage of Middlesbrough F.C. and tireless charity work earned him a place in the hearts of many.

Following the 5K are the Thirteen Ali Brownlee 2K and Thirteen Middlesbrough 3K, both fun and friendly distances designed to inspire young runners and new starters. With medals and goody bags for all finishers, it’s a great way to bring families into the fold and introduce kids to the world of running in a fun, low-pressure environment.
