The Meanwood Valley Trail Race is organised by Valley Striders and takes place from Old Leodiensians Rugby Club in Leeds. This long established event follows approximately 7 miles of undulating multi terrain running through some of the city's finest woodland and parkland, attracting trail runners from across Yorkshire.

The one lap course passes through Adel Woods, Scotland Woods and Meanwood Park on a varied mixture of woodland paths, park trails and natural terrain. Runners pass beneath the famous Seven Arches viaduct, alongside the Slabbering Baby spring and through the tunnel beneath the Leeds Outer Ring Road, creating a distinctive and memorable trail running experience.

The event features chip timing, a fully marshalled course, refreshments and prizes across a range of age categories. Combining challenging off road running, well known local landmarks and friendly club organisation, the Meanwood Valley Trail Race has become a popular fixture in the Yorkshire trail running calendar.
