The Maverick Dark Oxfordshire Trail takes runners into the grounds of Stonor Park for an atmospheric evening of trail running in the Chiltern Hills. Three routes of 17K, 13K and 7K explore the estate after dark, with head torches lighting the way through woodland and countryside.

Each route starts and finishes at Stonor Park and follows fully marked trails through varied and challenging terrain. The longer routes provide substantial climbing, with 494 metres of ascent on the 17K and 361 metres on the 13K, while the 7K provides a shorter introduction to running the estate at night. Trail shoes and a head or chest torch form part of the essential kit.

Runners can choose a distance to match their experience while still getting the distinctive atmosphere of a night trail race. The event is fully timed, with online results and event photography, while the Middle and Long routes include an outpost for refreshments. All finishers receive a metal event medal after completing their chosen route.
