Trust Marathon Tours & Travel for your next European running adventure...

Marathon Tours & Travel are the acknowledged experts for carefully crafted trips abroad for the classic big city marathons and half marathons. With the Paris Olympics still fresh in our memories and the BMW Berlin Marathon having just been held on 29 September 2024, we take a look ahead to some brilliant travel options next spring, with the whole winter ahead to train and prepare for an event that's just a few hours away...

Paris Half Marathon - Sunday 9 March 2025

The 33rd edition of the Paris Half Marathon, also known as the Harmonie Mutuelle Semi de Paris, takes place on 9 March. The 2024 edition saw more than 48,000 finishers, with a generous time limit allowing everyone to experience this lively and exciting half marathon.

Marathon Tours & Travel’s package includes 4-star accommodation only 20 minutes’ walk from Place de la Bastille, within easy access of the main tourist attractions of Paris and the race route.

Rome Marathon – Sunday 16 March

One week later, the 30th edition of the Rome Marathon will give you the chance to run through history, soaking up all Rome has to offer along the way. Course highlights include the chariot-racing stadium Circo Massimo and the cooling breeze of Lungotevere alley beside the River Tiber. You will then take in the impressive Castel Sant’Angelo, and St. Peter’s Basilica before finishing.

Marathon Tours & Travel offers a three or four night package with guaranteed race entry available based at the Starhotels Metropole. Located in the city centre, near the Roma Termini railway station, the Starhotels Metropole is within a 10-minute walk of the start, as are the Colosseum, Fori Imperiali, and the Trevi Fountains.

With Paris Half Marathon and Rome Marathon a week apart, Marathon Tours & Travel can arrange a tour to combine both races for a unique opportunity to visit and compete in two European capital cities in a single trip.

Berlin Half Marathon – Sunday 6 April 2025

It's not all about the Marathon in Berlin! The Generali Berlin Half Marathon enjoys the same wide roads, fantastic crowd support, live music and spectacular sights such as the famous Brandenburg Gate finish.

The Intercity Hotel Berlin Hauptbahnhof is located in the centre of Berlin, with easy access to all the sights and sounds of Berlin. The main central train station is a few minutes walk from the hotel, from where you can access Brandenburg Airport by direct train. Perfectly positioned for race day, the race start/finish area is just 10 minutes walk away.

Paris Marathon – Sunday 13 April 2025

Another capital city double-header opportunity presents itself with the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris one week after the Berlin Half Marathon. Now one of the biggest marathons in the world, the 2024 edition saw more than 54,175 finishers with around a third being first-time marathoners.

Marathon Tours & Travel offer a choice of packages staying at deluxe accommodation in Paris. Their expertly-created premium package includes accommodation in Hotel Rochester only five minutes from the famous start line on the Champs Elysées.

All of the Marathon Tours & Travel trips mentioned include guaranteed race entry; carefully selected accommodation; an experienced guide, and ABTA protection for peace of mind. To join any of the tours and for further information visit the Marathon Tours & Travel UK website here.
