Manchester PB Hunters On Their Marks
Race organisers Cannonball Events have launched a new 5k series in South Manchester that will have an appeal to all those looking for a summer PB. The series commences on Thursday 7 June and continues throughout the course of the month, with the last event staged on Thursday 28 June.
The three lap course, which will be held near Manchester centre at Alexandra Park, contains just 9 feet of elevation (three feet per lap) and has been designed with path surfaces and long straights with only four turns.
As a new event, organisers have limited entry to just 350 places per event however demand is expected to be high. Races can be entered individually or as part of the series. There are various prize options with both individual and team prizes awarded for each event.
Organisers Cannonball Events are also behind, among others, the Rother Valley Marathon and Half Marathon, the Hollingworth Lake 5K series, the Huddersfield Park 5K series and the Calderdale Way Ultra Races.
Registration for the Manchester 5K series is priced at £11 per race (£9.50 affiliated) or £38 for the full four events (£32 affiliated). Further info is available here.
