I LOVE Grim virtual event and medal

Add a touch of romance to running at I LOVE Grim

14 is the magic number in this Valentines Day virtual event

St Valentine’s Day is a little over two weeks away and instead of saying it with flowers, chocolates or dining out – the latter no longer an option as a result of the current lockdown – there is a realistic and healthier alternative from It’s Grim Up North Running. Here is where runners show their love for our sport and the 14th February in the I LOVE Grim virtual event and receive a heart-shaped medal in return.

This virtual event aims to get people in the mood for running and love by asking them to complete 1.4K, 1.4 miles, 14 miles, 14 hours or 14 days to celebrate the 14th of February and achieve something positive in these dark and dismal times. This wide choice of distances makes this an event open to all and can be done at a time and pace to suit the participant. There is no pressure; it is a nice and easy run maybe followed by a glass of bubbly and a click and collect meal.

I LOVE Grim started on Tuesday 5 January and continues up to Valentine’s Day. Incidentally the name of every person who runs on that day will go into a draw for a signed sketch of the medal that has been designed by Shoba.

The medal has attracted praise for its good looks and style.

Places are still available for this Valentine’s virtual run. Enter via the It’s Grim Up North Running website.
