Run The Rhino
There's a fab new Strava route for runners in Leeds...
There's fantastic new 10K run route in north Leeds that has been inspired by Rob Burrow and Kevin Sinfield. From the creator of the #RoundhayRudolph, John McLoughlin, the #LeedsRhino has launched to aid those running the inaugural Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon, whilst raising awareness of Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
The #LeedsRhino can be started and finished at any point along the route, it’s relatively simple to follow and it is all on road. The route runs around the Roundhay and Moortown areas of Leeds and there are many special places it passes including Roundhay Park. The route also passes parades of shops, cafes and restaurants along the way.
Run Leeds suggest that a good place to start (with plenty of parking) is outside the Roundhay Fox on Street Lane. A full description of the route can be found at the Run Leeds website.
A spokesperson said: "This route is great first thing before the traffic picks up (if you are an early riser). If not, a Sunday afternoon would be a great time to take this on!"
If you want to run the route, there is optional fundraising for MND Association and Leeds Hospitals Charity, which has the full support of Leeds Rhinos Foundation.
