The Last Duel Trail Race is a 5.7 mile trail race through Cardenden Woods, starting and finishing beside Cardenden Primary School. The route follows woodland trails, gravel paths and farm tracks before passing the site of Scotland's last pistol duel, with muddy, rocky and rooted terrain providing a demanding off road challenge.
Organised by Fife Athletic Club and Kirkcaldy Wizards, the race is fully marshalled and open to runners aged 16 and over. Every finisher receives a commemorative medal, with prizes awarded to the leading male and female runners after the event at the Corrie Centre.
The Last Duel Trail Race offers an authentic trail running experience with varied terrain, technical woodland sections and a historic setting, making it an excellent choice for runners looking for a rewarding off road challenge in Fife.
