The Kingston Half Marathon is organised by River Thames Running and takes runners on a flat, fast course through Kingston upon Thames and alongside the River Thames.
Starting and finishing in the historic Ancient Market Place, the Half Marathon begins with around five miles on tarmac streets before reaching Teddington Lock and crossing Kingston Bridge. The route then follows Barge Walk, providing an extended riverside section as runners approach Hampton Court Palace.
Further landmarks include Hampton Court Bridge, Canbury Gardens and Kingston's historic town centre, giving the race a distinctive combination of riverside scenery and royal history. The predominantly flat course also makes the Kingston Half Marathon attractive to runners targeting a fast autumn time.
More than 2,000 runners are expected to take part, with the finish back in the Ancient Market Place supported by crowds, music and an event DJ.
