Celebrate The Great Outdoors
Head to Cumbria for an epic weekend of sport, adventure and music...
The Keswick Mountain Festival will return in 2025 once again providing thrill-seekers with an action-packed weekend in the heart of the Lake District (16-18 May). This multi-sport extravaganza is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, offering an exciting mix of trail running, triathlon, swimming, cycling, hiking, adventure challenges and live music, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of Keswick.
With a huge programme of sporting events, inspiring speakers and unforgettable entertainment, the festival is designed to inspire all ages and abilities. Whether you’re taking on a trail run, conquering Skiddaw, diving into open water swimming or pushing your limits in a triathlon, Keswick Mountain Festival delivers an incredible outdoor experience.
Trail runners can look forward to the adidas Terrex Trail Runs, including a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and 50K Ultra Marathon, offering a stunning mix of terrain and elevation. The 10K Trail Run is a particular highlight, starting with a ferry ride across Derwentwater before taking runners on a scenic route under the slopes of Catbells. Those seeking a tougher challenge can take on the Skiddaw Mountain Run, a thrilling race up one of the region’s most iconic peaks.
For ultra-runners, the 50K Trail Ultra Marathon is a must-do, offering UTMB index points and a spectacular course through Watendlath, Borrowdale, Buttermere, and Newlands. With technical trails, fast descents and jaw-dropping scenery, it’s fast becoming a classic on the ultra-running circuit.
For 2025, there are some exciting new additions. The Big Top music venue will be replaced by an open-air live music stage, with additional performances in the food and drink area plus a brand-new DJ bar tent to keep the festival energy high.
Organisers comment: "More than just a sporting event, Keswick Mountain Festival is a celebration of the great outdoors, blending adventure, community and entertainment in one unforgettable weekend.
