Four-Legged Fun Running
Muddy mutts and their humans are invited to take on a challenge for Battersea Dog Home...
Did you get a lockdown puppy? I did, and if the pup's enthusiasm for running aged 4 months is anything to go by then I can only assume we'll be very happy running buddies in the months and years ahead.
If you've also welcomed a new addition to the family and heading out for runs with your fur baby is something you'd like to give a try then make sure you check out our 'how to' article here.
But for an event that anyone with a dog can take part in, you need look no further than the Muddy Dog Challenge 2021, a 2.5K or 5K obstacle run. Whether you’re a fitness fanatic or just looking for a fun day out, keen to run, or would rather stroll, humans and their dogs are welcome to take part and raise money to help care for the dogs and cats at Battersea.
There are three events scheduled for the north of England, first up is Manchester on 25 September followed by Leeds on 2 October and Newcastle Racecourse on 9 October. The Leeds race takes place in the beautiful grounds of Harewood House, so be quick to ensure your entry to this location.
Each Muddy Dog Challenge participant is asked to fundraise £100 and you will receive a Muddy Dog Challenge t-shirt and a bandana for your dog to wear on the day. After you’ve completed the course, you’ll be awarded a medal, and your dog will get a rosette to wear with pride.
