Farm Fun And Fitness
Get ready for a race where farming, fitness and fun go hand in hand...
The rolling roads of East Yorkshire are set to welcome a brand new running event with a distinctly rural twist. The Farm Run 10K, organised by Curly’s Athletes in collaboration with Fitmums & Friends and Bishop Burton College, will make its debut on 28 September, and it’s already shaping up to be one of the quirkiest events of the year.
Hosted from the picturesque grounds of Bishop Burton College near Beverley, the 10K promises a scenic road route through the local villages and closed country lanes. Although the event carries a playful 'farm' theme complete with hints of sheep onesies and tractor puns - organisers are quick to assure runners that they’ll be staying well away from any muddy fields.
Organisers are embracing the excitement of launching a brand new event and inviting participants to be part of the journey as more details, including the final route, are revealed in the lead-up to race day.
As always with Curly’s events, there are no cut-off times, fancy dress is highly encouraged and all levels of runner are welcome. The goal? To create a feel-good race with strong links to the local farming community, and plenty of laughs along the way.
So, if you’ve ever dreamed of running through the countryside in a sheep costume (with bells on), this might be your moment. If you'd like to know more, visit the Farm Run 10K website.
