Run the Lights starts and finishes at the Blackpool Tower Festival Headland, following accurately measured 10K and 5K routes along Blackpool Promenade. The flat road course passes iconic landmarks including Blackpool Tower and Blackpool Pleasure Beach before runners experience the famous Blackpool Illuminations in full display during the evening race.
Held under a UK Athletics licence, the event features chip timing, water stations, aid points and bespoke glow in the dark finisher's medals. The fast, traffic managed course is suitable for runners of all abilities, whether chasing a personal best or taking on a first organised race.
Run the Lights combines a fast coastal road course with one of the UK's best known light displays, creating a memorable summer evening race with a vibrant atmosphere and spectacular seafront setting.
