The IAC Hilly Five Miles, now known as the Newman Hilly 5, is a 5 Mile off road race organised by Ilford Athletic Club in Hainault Forest. Supporting St Francis Hospice, the event forms part of the ELVIS Grand Prix and has become a popular summer fixture for runners seeking a challenging woodland race.
The course follows two laps through Hainault Forest on a mixture of woodland paths and undulating trails. A larger opening lap is followed by a slightly shorter second lap, creating a varied off road challenge with rolling terrain and scenic forest surroundings.
