Cotswold roads await runners...
The Hooky 6 returns on 2 August 2026 as runners once again head to the Oxfordshire village of Hook Norton for one of the region's best loved summer road races.
Organised by Hook Norton Harriers, the six mile race has earned a strong reputation for combining a competitive challenge with a warm community atmosphere. The event attracts runners from across Oxfordshire and neighbouring counties, with club runners and recreational participants alike drawn to its picturesque Cotswold setting.
The route takes runners onto quiet country roads surrounding Hook Norton, offering rolling countryside views and a course that rewards sensible pacing. While not completely flat, the route is widely regarded as an enjoyable and varied test that showcases the character of the local landscape.
Hook Norton Harriers have become well known for their friendly approach to running, welcoming members of all ages and abilities throughout the year. That same spirit is reflected in race day, where local support and enthusiastic volunteers help create an event that feels every bit as welcoming as it is competitive.
