Hereford 10 Mile Race

10 Miles Of Great Racing

This 10 miler makes for the perfect training race for those tackling longer distances in the spring...

The Hereford 10 Mile Race is back for 2025 and will take place on Sunday 16 February. The popular and fast-paced 10 miler starts within the heart of Hereford and takes participants on a picturesque route around Herefordshire.

Organisers told us: "Any runner thinking about a 10 mile race as preparation for a marathon (or a half marathon) should consider including this in their schedule. The Hereford 10 Mile is a picturesque and good value race."

The race follows an undulating route, passing through Lower and Upper Breinton, Swainshill and Brienton Common. There is one water station which runners pass at 4 miles and 7 miles and more water at the finish at the Rugby Club. The route is an undulating figure of eight course mainly on country lanes.

The event starts and finishes at Hereford Rugby Club, which will be open on the day for refreshments and every finisher will receive a bespoke medal.

In 2024 there were over 150 runners taking part in the early season race action. It was Simon Lewis who won in a time of 55:02, while first female was Emma Robertson of Worcester AC in a time of 1:06:13.
