The Headington 5 Mile follows a fast, flat loop starting and finishing at Boults Lane Recreation Ground in Oxford. The route uses the pathways alongside the Northern Bypass and Marston Ferry Road, linked through Sunnymead, creating a largely traffic free course with excellent personal best potential.
Organised by Headington RoadRunners, the race is part of the Oxfordshire Grand Prix Series and is run under UK Athletics rules with chip timing and prizes across a wide range of age categories. Race HQ is based at the OXSRAD Sports Centre, with proceeds supporting OXSRAD, Oxford's integrated sports centre for disabled and non-disabled athletes.
The Headington 5 Mile brings together a fast, largely traffic free course and competitive club racing, while supporting the work of OXSRAD through one of the Oxfordshire Grand Prix Series events.
