The route is a 'frying pan' in shape; you take in the first few hundred meters before turning right to travel an anti-clockwise course towards the relatively new and expanding Walton Cardiff housing development - this is a wide footpath with three road crossings (with bollards) that will be marshalled. Just before the 2 mile mark, there is a left turn in the easterly direction. From here, there may be the odd vehicle so please stay to the left at all times. The course hops over the M5 motorway twice and this is the only time inclines are met. After 4.6 miles you'll rejoin the 'frying pan handle' with a right turn and retrace your first few hundred meters to cross the finish line - the finish is on your left.Â
