Great Birmingham Run 2023 v2

Back Bigger and Better

Great Birmingham Run set to take to the streets this spring

The AJ Bell Great Birmingham Run is back, bigger and better than ever on Sunday 7 May with a brand-new route! Starting and finishing in the heart of the city, runners can expect inspiring sights, iconic landmarks, including city highlights such as the famous Jewellery Quarter.

As most Brummies know, the Jewellery Quarter is steeped in history and, at its height, employed more than 30,000 people before falling into decline. The area has been revived in recent years and is now a vibrant creative hub for the Midlands alongside many food, drink and entertainment venues.

Local supporters, bands and charities come together to cheer on runners, creating an unbelievable atmosphere along the 10K and half marathon route that’s not to be missed.

From the start line DJ to the rocking on-course music zones and an event village that feels more like an after party – the carnival atmosphere and spirit of the runners is uniquely Birmingham.

Why not let the little ones take centre stage in the Junior and Mini events, taking place on the same day? Open to entrants aged 3-15, this event is high-energy fun from beginning to end with crazy costumes, high-fives and lots of local crowd support.

Whether you set yourself a 10K or half marathon challenge, take your place on this famous start line, be part of something special and earn an epic medal!
