The Glentress Winter Half Marathon and 10K take place in Glentress Forest near Peebles, with two challenging trail races through the heart of the Tweed Valley. Both fully marked routes explore a varied landscape of forest trails, woodland singletrack, mountain bike trails and open moorland with impressive views across the surrounding hills.
Runners taking on the 21K face around 900m of ascent, with long climbs, technical singletrack and fast descents as the route reaches the higher parts of Glentress Forest. The 10K packs around 393m of climbing into the shorter distance, including the switchbacks of the Spooky Wood climb before a rewarding descent towards the finish.
The event is based at Glentress Peel Visitor Centre, where registration takes place before the races. Hydration stations are positioned around both courses, while mandatory kit is required for 21K runners due to the potential winter conditions and more exposed sections of the route.
