The Glasgow Bun Run is organised by Up and Running Events and starts and finishes in Glasgow. This social Half Marathon combines a 21K group run with visits to a selection of independent bakeries, creating a unique running experience that celebrates the city's vibrant food scene as much as the miles covered.
The route follows pavements, paths and public spaces, linking together a number of independent bakeries across Glasgow. Runners are organised into paced groups, allowing participants to enjoy the run together while stopping briefly at each bakery to sample a selection of baked treats. The emphasis is on community, conversation and the shared experience rather than competition.
The event is not a race and there are no results or prizes. Participants finish where they started before enjoying a final bakery stop and the opportunity to relax and socialise. Its friendly atmosphere and distinctive format make the Glasgow Bun Run one of Scotland's most unusual and enjoyable social running events.
