This relates to: Garendon Gallop 10K

The Garendon Gallop returns on Sunday 26 July 2026, inviting runners to experience a scenic 10K through the historic grounds of Garendon Park near Loughborough.

Now in its seventh edition, the event has established itself as a popular fixture on the Midlands running calendar. Organised with an emphasis on enjoyment as well as competition, the fully licensed and chip timed race welcomes runners, joggers and walkers to tackle an undulating one lap course through beautiful parkland and countryside.

Starting from Charnwood College, participants can look forward to a varied route featuring open landscapes, wooded trails and gentle climbs that reward runners with impressive views across the surrounding Leicestershire countryside. The fully marshalled course includes water stations, clear signage and professional race photography, helping to create a relaxed and enjoyable race day experience.

Every finisher receives a technical T-shirt along with post race goodies, while trophies are awarded across a range of prize categories. Free parking, changing facilities and toilets are all available at race headquarters, making the event straightforward for both local runners and those travelling from further afield.

The Garendon Gallop has earned a reputation for its welcoming atmosphere, where community spirit takes centre stage. Friendly volunteers, supportive marshals and an encouraging field of runners combine to create an event that feels just as rewarding for first timers as it does for experienced competitors.

Whether you're aiming to tackle your first trail 10K or looking for a summer race in a unique setting, the Garendon Gallop offers a memorable opportunity to run through one of Leicestershire's most historic estates while enjoying the relaxed atmosphere that has become the event's trademark.
