The Forest Park Ladies 5K is organised by Spectrum Striders and is one of the North West's longest established women only races. First held in 1993, the popular summer evening event takes place in Birchwood Forest Park, Warrington, attracting runners of all abilities in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
The accurately measured 5K course follows predominantly traffic free parkland paths through Birchwood Brook Park and Forest Park, with just a short road section and two gentle climbs over footbridges. Its fast, accessible layout makes it equally suitable for experienced runners chasing a personal best and those taking part in their first organised race.
With a welcoming community atmosphere, excellent organisation and a scenic parkland setting, the Forest Park Ladies 5K has become a much loved fixture in the Cheshire running calendar, with many runners returning year after year to enjoy this popular women only event.
