The Floors Castle Trail Race takes place within the grounds of Floors Castle near Kelso in the Scottish Borders. The event features 10K and 5K trail races alongside a 3K junior race, with the historic castle providing a striking backdrop to the start and finish area.
Runners follow an undulating but fast course on hard packed gravel trails through the castle estate, passing gardens, woodland and open areas. The 10K completes two laps of the course, while the 5K follows a single lap, providing two distance options across the same scenic estate terrain.
The 3K junior trail race provides a shorter challenge for runners aged 9 to 14. Chip timing, post race refreshments and a lively race village on the lawn in front of Floors Castle add to an event designed for both experienced trail runners and those taking on their first off road race.
